Rumi Mind Foundation, Inc. (“the Foundation,” “we,” “our,” or “us”)
A Connecticut-incorporated nonprofit corporation
Important note: The Foundation is incorporated in the State of Connecticut but has not yet been granted tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service. Until IRS determination is issued, donations are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.
By accessing or using this website (“Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and all applicable laws. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use this Site.
1. Nonprofit Status & IRS Determination
The Foundation is legally incorporated as a nonprofit entity under the laws of Connecticut.
We are not yet a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; as IRS determination can take months to process.
Donations made at this time are not guaranteed to be tax-deductible.
If tax-exempt status is granted, deductibility may apply retroactively only as permitted by the IRS.
We will update this Site when our determination letter is issued.
All donors are encouraged to consult their tax professional regarding any contribution.
2. Website Content & Informational Purposes
The content on this Site is provided for general informational, educational, and mission-related purposes only.
Nothing on this Site constitutes medical, psychiatric, legal, or financial advice.
Information about our programs, including Rumi’s Circle, the Emergency Bridge Fund, and the Circle Fellowship, is provided for transparency and community awareness and may evolve over time.
Program eligibility and funding criteria are determined by the Foundation and may change without prior notice.
3. No Medical or Clinical Relationship
The Foundation is a nonprofit organization and not a clinical provider.
Although our sister organization, Rumi Mind Health Inc., may offer pro bono care independently, nothing on this Site:
creates a provider-patient relationship,
constitutes medical treatment or medical advice, or
requires any applicant, donor, or user to engage with any clinical entity.
Users should always consult qualified professionals for medical, mental health, legal, or financial decisions.
4. Donations & Payment Processing
By making a donation through this Site:
You acknowledge that contributions are voluntary and non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.
You understand that donations may incur processing fees charged by third-party payment services.
Contributions made through the online donation page may are generally directed to the Foundation’s endowment dedicated to supporting the Rumi’s Circle Program, unless as otherwise described in our program materials.
No portion of donated funds is used to pay for direct clinical care.
We reserve the right to decline or return donations that conflict with our mission, ethical standards, or legal obligations.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site—including text, graphics, logos, program descriptions, documents, and media—is the property of the Foundation or used with permission.
Users may not:
reproduce, distribute, modify, or republish content without written consent,
use our name, logo, trademarks, or program materials for commercial or promotional purposes without permission.
Limited personal, non-commercial use is permitted.
6. User Conduct
By using this Site, you agree not to:
engage in unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity,
attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data,
upload malicious code, automated scraping scripts, or disruptive software,
misrepresent your identity or affiliation when interacting with the Foundation.
We may restrict or terminate access for violations of these terms.

We respect user privacy. While this Site may collect basic analytics, any personal information submitted to the Foundation—such as through applications, donation forms, or contact forms—is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
Important note:
Although our application systems may use HIPAA-compliant platforms, the Foundation is not a HIPAA-covered entity.
By submitting information, you acknowledge that it may be accessed by Foundation personnel or board members for review, evaluation, or administrative purposes.

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Site is to discontinue use.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts located in Connecticut.

We may update or revise these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
